Car parks
Crawley Borough Council owns and manages three multi-storey car parks in the town, as well as other surface car parks. We also carry out enforcement on behalf of the owners of the library and hospital car parks.
Designated motorcycle bays are available at some council car parks, but not at:
- Orchard Street multi-storey car park
- Tilgate Fisherman's car park
- Crawley Library car park
Motorcycles can park free of charge in a Pay and Display bay in any council car park.
All of our car parks have height restriction barriers of either 2.0 metres or 2.1 metres.
Reporting issues
You can report any issues at one of our car parks with our report a problem eform below.
Issues that can be reported include:
- payment machine fault
- doors and lifts
- lighting
- litter and cleaning
- antisocial behaviour
- parking signs and markings
- parking permit problems
- breaking parking rules
- penalty charge notices (PCNs)
Public Space Protection Order (PSPO)
A Public Space Protection Order has been put in place at the following car parks:
- Orchard Street multi-storey car park, Pegler Way, Crawley, West Sussex, RH11 7AE
- Town Hall multi-storey car park, Exchange Road, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 1UZ
- Kingsgate multi-storey car park, Queensway, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 1EN

Paying for parking
Prices for each car park are below.
Most council car parks offer coin, card and contactless and MiPermit app payment options. Find out about the payment options for council car parks.
Season tickets are available for Orchard Street multi-storey car park. To apply for a season ticket, please email parking.services@crawley.gov.uk to request a form.
Kingsgate multi-storey
Kingsgate multi-storey is on Queensway and has 396 spaces. It is open 24 hours, all year round. Payment is on arrival by card, contactless or MiPermit app. If paying for parking via the payment machine, just enter your car registration plate and pay - you do not need to display your ticket.

Town Hall multi-storey
Town Hall car park is on Exchange Road. It is open 24 hours, all year round. Payment is on arrival by coin, card, contactless or the MiPermit app.

Orchard Street multi-storey
Orchard Street multi-storey has 448 spaces. It is open 24 hours, all year round. Payment is on arrival by coin, card, contactless or the MiPermit app, or with a season ticket

Orchard Street multi-storey charges
Orchard Street surface car park
Orchard Street surface car park is adjacent to the multi-storey. It is open 24 hours, all year round. Charges apply 7am to 10pm. Payment is on arrival via coin, card, contactless or MiPermit app. This car park is 'pay and display' so unless paying via MiPermit you will need to display your ticket in your windscreen.

Tilgate Park main car park
Tilgate Park main car park is at the top of the hill on Tilgate Drive. It is open all day, every day including bank holidays. There are 329 spaces.

Tilgate Park Fisherman’s (Lakeside) car park
Tilgate Fisherman's (Lakeside) car park is before the golf course on Tilgate Drive. It is open all day, every day, including bank holidays.

- winter charging from 9am to 4pm, Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
Maidenbower Parade car park
Maidenbower Parade car park is on Maidenbower Drive. Parking is free of charge and the car park is open 24 hours.
Broadfield Barton car park
Broadfield Barton car park is off Pelham Place and Holyrood Place. Parking is free of charge and the car park is open 24 hours.

The car parks below are managed by Crawley Borough Council on behalf of their owners. We do not set the prices for these car parks.
Crawley Hospital
Crawley Hospital surface car park is off West Green Drive. It is open 24 hours.
Charges apply 8am to 6pm every day including bank holidays.
- up to one hour: £1.20
- up to two hours: £2.40
- up to three hours: £3.60
- up to four hours: £4.80
- up to five hours: £6.00
- all day: £9.00
Crawley Library
Crawley Library surface car park is off Haslett Avenue East. It is open 24 hours with a maximum stay of 4 hours.
Charges apply 7am to 6pm every day including bank holidays.
- up to 30 mins: £0.80
- up to one hour: £1.30
- up to two hours: £2.80
- up to four hours: £5.40
Car park season tickets
Season tickets are available at Orchard Street multi-storey.
We reserve the right to immediately cancel a permit if a driver is:
- witnessed damaging council property, abusing or assaulting council employees
- witnessed driving at excessive speed or driving dangerously within a council car park
The right to request refund of any permit charges already paid will also be forfeited. Any decision to rescind a council parking permit is final and not subject to contest.
Prices
All season ticket prices can be pro-rata for part time workers and payments can be split monthly and paid via Direct Debit.
