Electric vehicle charging points

We are partnering with West Sussex County Council, Connected Kerb, and the county’s district and borough councils to deliver a government funded network of public EV charge points, helping make the switch to electric vehicles easier, particularly for residents who do not have access to off street parking.

The location of existing and proposed charge points under this network can be found on the Connected Kerb West Sussex Chargepoint Network website.

On-street charge points are not currently restricted to electric vehicles. This means that other cars will still be able to park as before. If an EV charge point is in a Controlled Parking Zone, a valid permit will still be required.

Any future change to parking restrictions would go through the normal consultation process.

Tell us where you would like to see new charging points

We want to hear from Crawley residents and businesses about where charge points are needed. Please email climate@crawley.gov.uk to suggest on-street or council car park locations that may be suitable for EV charge points.
