Food premises registration
Register your food business
If you store, prepare, distribute or sell food you must register your food premises with the council at least 28 days before opening.
Registration is free and applies to most types of food businesses:
- Restaurants
- Cafes
- Hotels
- Shops
- Canteens
- Market stalls
- Temporary premises
- Mobile catering
- Food delivery vans
If you have more than one premises you will need to register all of them.
If there is a change to your food business after your registration has been processed email Food Safety to let them know.
