Like many councils up and down the country, CBC is facing a budget shortfall due to the coronavirus pandemic. The lockdown and subsequent restrictions has meant that the council’s income has significantly reduced, while expenditure on services has increased. This means that CBC has needed to reappraise its services in order to set a balanced budget in the current financial year and in the years going forward.
