Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012

Statutory Instrument 2012 No.767 Regulation 24

 The Crawley Borough Local Plan 2024 – 2040 was submitted to the Secretary of State for its independent Examination on 31 July 2023. The Secretary of State has appointed David Spencer BA(Hons) DipTP MRTPI and Glen Rollings BA (Hons) MAUD MRTPI to carry out an independent Examination of the Plan and subsequently issue a report with their conclusions. As part of the independent Examination, the Inspectors will hold a number of public hearing sessions. The hearings will be divided into two stages:

  • Stage 1 of the hearing sessions will be held during the week beginning 20 November 2023 (including reserve days), commencing on Tuesday 21 November, at 10am. Sitting days are anticipated to be Tuesday to Thursday (inclusive)
  • Stage 2 of the hearing sessions will take place during the weeks beginning 8 January 2024 and 15 January 2024 (including reserve days), commencing from Tuesday 9 January 2024, at 10am

The public hearing sessions will be held at: Crawley Borough Council Town Hall, The Boulevard, RH10 1UZ, in Committee Rooms A & B. Public observation will be available in the public gallery at the Town Hall during the Hearing Sessions.

There is a possibility for some of the Stage 2 hearings to be held virtually. This will be confirmed nearer the time and more details will follow.
