Crawley Borough Council has a new, open access small grants scheme and invites not-for-profit groups to apply.

This new funding opportunity has no deadline for applications and aims to foster greater levels of community connectivity and cohesion.

These grants – from £50 up to £2,500 – are awarded for community projects and events. The application form and eligibility criteria are available at our grants page.

This scheme funds a range of organised activity for wide community benefit. The scheme is open to all community groups and clubs whose activities take place in, or benefit, the Crawley area. Applications are considered at any time; however, you are advised to apply at least a month before the event or activity will take place.

Typically we award a grant or funding contribution to most proposals that are eligible for support. We also provide match funding opportunities.

I am extremely proud to be able to announce the reopening of the new and improved scheme. These small grants can make a huge difference to voluntary and community groups.

They’re an important part of our strategy to encourage greater community activity as we continue to open up after the pandemic.

We’re keen to fund a range of community projects so apply now, we want to hear from you!

Cllr Michael Jones

Cabinet member for Community Engagement and Public Protection
