Street care issues

We look after many parts of your local environment, from litter picking and tree maintenance to grass cutting.

West Sussex County Council is also responsible for some street and road maintenance in the town.

Fly-tipping

Waste must be left at authorised sites. Anyone fly-tipping is committing a serious offence which could result in a fine of more than £50,000 plus a prison sentence. If you see someone fly-tipping in the area, contact the Community Protection team in confidence on 07884 492324.

How to get rid of unwanted items:

  • garden waste - compost at home, use our GREENbin collection service or take it to the disposal site at Metcalf Way, Langley Green
  • small electrical items - we can collect these alongside your refuse or you can take them to the Metcalf Way disposal site for recycling
  • bulky waste - for a small fee we will collect unwanted furniture and large electrical goods. Residents receiving benefits may qualify for one free collection every 12 months
