Resident parking permits
From 2 October 2023, new and renewal resident, visitor and business permits will be virtual and purchased online. Read our latest news on virtual permits for more information.
During the hours of operation, you may only park in a ‘Permit Holders Only’ bay by displaying a valid permit, or pay and display ticket where applicable.
Permits must only be used in the vehicle for which they were issued. You should contact Parking Services for a temporary change of vehicle.
Motorcycles may park in any permit, pay and display or shared use bay free of charge with no time restriction.
New developments are excluded from resident permit schemes because the requirement for parking is considered through the planning process. However, we may be able to offer a Resident Permit to people living in new developments if there is sufficient space available in nearby roads. Renewal is not guaranteed upon expiry.
Prices correct as of 3 October 2022
