On 21 June 2018, the council formally adopted the Breezehurst Drive playing fields development brief. Breezehurst Drive playing fields has been allocated as a Housing and Open Space Site in the form of a mixed use recreation/residential development. Key requirements for the development to include are set out in the Local Plan Policy H2 allocating the site. 

The brief provides a greater level of description and detail relating to opportunities and constraints on the site, setting out guidance that builds on the requirements in the Local Plan allocation.

The development brief was subject to a period of early engagement consultation, in addition to being published for an extended eight-week public consultation period, between 30 November 2017 and 25 January 2018. A consultation statement sets out details of the comments received and outlines the council’s response.
