Gatwick Diamond local strategic statement
With Gatwick Airport at its heart, the ‘Gatwick Diamond’ is well known for the quality of its living environment and the strength of its local economy. Stretching from the southern edge of London to the northern boundaries of Brighton and Hove, the Diamond extends over a range of towns and villages, set in attractive countryside. The Gatwick Diamond local strategic statement sets out a number of priorities that are common to the authorities within the Gatwick Diamond area. This document updates the earlier version published in 2012. It is supported by an accompanying evidence base report.
The Gatwick Diamond Local Strategic Statement has been prepared on behalf of the Gatwick Diamond local authorities. It has been considered and endorsed by the following local authorities:
- Surrey County Council
- West Sussex County Council
- Crawley Borough Council
- Horsham District Council
- Mid Sussex District Council
- Mole Valley District Council
- Reigate and Banstead Borough Council
- Tandridge District Council
Through a separate memorandum of understanding, the local authorities have established a framework for co-operation on strategic planning and development issues.
The document is available in a range of other formats on request to the local authorities listed above. For further enquiries email Strategic Planning.
