The council’s new Crawley Homes contractors are now making visit to council tenants.
Mears and Wates Living Space were appointed by the council in November 2019 and will be managing responsive repairs, planned maintenance and empty dwellings for Crawley Homes properties.
The 10 year contract will split the town into two areas, with Mears delivering maintenance in Broadfield, Forge Wood, Furnace Green, Maidenbower, Pound Hill, Southgate, Three Bridges and Tilgate area and Wates Living Space in Bewbush, Gossops Green, Ifield, Langley Green, West Green and Northgate.
Existing staff will be moved over to the new contractors, ensuring no disruption to council tenants and the same familiar faces at appointments.
This is a good deal for the council and I know our residents will continue to receive first class service.

Council tenants can report repairs by calling 01293 438111 (emergency only outside of office hours) or emailing housing repairs.
All our contractors and staff carry photo ID, we encourage our tenants to ask to see it, before letting them into your home.
