If you live in one of our homes or blocks of flats, we want to make sure you are as safe as you possibly can be from the dangers of smoke and fire.

We have a fire safety policy for blocks of flats with an enclosed communal stairwell and our tallest block, Milton Mount has its own fire safety policy. 

We carry out regular fire safety checks and fire risk assessments in council managed blocks, and follow all advice from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

Through our electrical upgrade and rewire programme, we fit smoke detectors for council tenants. We strongly advise leaseholders to fit smoke detectors that meet British Kitemark standards. 

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service offers free fire safety checks to vulnerable individuals and groups and can fit smoke alarms or other specialist fire detection.
