Coast to Capital Business Recovery Grants

A new £2.1 million grant scheme, Business Recovery Grants, has launched to provide businesses in the Coast to Capital area (East Surrey, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove, Croydon and Lewes) with a cash injection of between £10,000 and £170,000.

The programme will provide up to 50 per cent of an expansion project for organisations that can demonstrate a clear link to COVID-19 recovery and growth. In addition, Coast to Capital is looking for businesses to set out plans for job creation and job retention to improve employment rate in the local area and also projects that have social value.

ERDF funding to support SME restart and recovery

Coast to Capital Growth Hub has been allocated £400,000 of new European Regional Development Fund to help small and medium- sized businesses access grants of between £1,000 and £3,000 with £5,000 in exceptional circumstances.

The fund comprises of:

  • £250,000 for small and medium-sized businesses
  • £150,000 for tourism-related businesses

Coast to Capital LEP grants

Coast to Capital LEP has launched the 'Backing Business Grants' of between £5,000-£25,000 to help businesses and social enterprises adapt their operations and business models during these times. Visit the Coast to Capital website to see if your business is eligible.

New B2B Supply Portal

A new business to business growth portal has launched with the sole purpose of helping Sussex businesses bounce back as quickly as possible from the impact of COVID-19.

Area in Action provides a way for suppliers across all sectors to showcase themselves and for those businesses who have a requirement or challenge to find local suppliers they can work with.

Local businesses are encouraged to sign up and help to bring this platform to life. It is very simple and completely free to list yourselves and start connecting with businesses within the same area.
