When you apply for an allotment plot you will be charged an administration fee (applicable from Monday 19 April). Visit our Apply for an allotment webpage for more information on this fee and to make an application.

When you are assigned an allotment plot you will be charged an annual fee based on the size of your plot. Discounts on plot fees are available for those aged 60 plus.

Allotment fees are charged annually and cover the period October to September.

You will be charged for the size of your plot and will be charged per square metre. 

Our fees are as follows:

For example:

• if you have a 50 square metre plot and are aged under 60, this will cost you £30 per year
• if you have a 50 square metre plot and are aged 60 plus, this will cost you £15 per year
• if you have a 75 square metre plot and are aged under 60, this will cost you £45 per year
• if you have a 75 square metre plot and are aged under 60, this will cost you £22.50 per year

The senior citizen discount:

• only applies to plot fees, not the initial application fee
• is available for those aged 60 plus

If you are aged 60 or over when you first take on an allotment plot, the discount will be applied automatically. If you already have a plot and later turn 60, you must apply for the discount. Once approved, it will be included on your next invoice and cannot be backdated.
