If you need to report an issue at your allotment site, such as broken locks or fencing, please use the form below.
Using your allotment
When you take on an allotment plot you are expected to use it for cultivation and to maintain certain standards.
We expect to see a minimum of:
- 25 per cent of the plot cultivated in the first year
- 50 per cent in the second year
- 75 per cent in the third year
When looking after your plot we expect you to:
- keep it tidy to a reasonable level
- keep all your belongings within your plot
- be considerate to other plot users
- park appropriately
To help manage the areas of your plot that are not cultivated, we recommend using a weed control membrane or alternative. Please contact us to purchase weed suppressant materials.
Site inspections
Regular inspections are carried out at each allotment site to ensure plots are being looked after and cultivated properly.
If you are not maintaining your plot inline with the cultivation levels outlined above, you will be served a non-cultivation notice. Failure to regularly cultivate will result in your plot being lost. Please contact us if you are struggling to maintain a plot.
Site security
All sites have gates that are locked with a combination padlock. You are given a combination on allocation of a plot. You must ensure that the site is properly locked after you enter and after you leave.
Ending your allotment tenancy
If you want to end your allotment tenancy, please use the form below.
When you end your tenancy you are expected to return your plot in a clean and tidy state. A charge will be applied if this is not the case.
