About Tilgate Park
Tilgate Park has so much to offer from stunning lakes, lawns and gardens to miles of woodland and bridleways for long leisurely walks.
Green Flag award winning park also boasts Tilgate Nature Centre and excellent activities and attractions.
Dogs
All dogs are required to be kept on a lead (maximum 2m) around Tilgate lake, main lawn, Peace Garden and the golf course (excluding the perimeter path) at all times. Dogs are not permitted in the children’s playground.
See our Public Spaces Protection Orders page for more information.
Self-service dog wash
Discover Tilgate Park's self-service dog wash, conveniently located by the main car park. This easy-to-use facility is ideal for washing your dog. The machine provides warm water, a range of shampoos and a two-speed dryer.
Tilgate Park Tree Trail
Tilgate Park’s Tree Trail picks out 30 of the best champion trees of their particular species. There are trees from China, Africa, Europe and America.
Each trail tree has been identified with its name and a number which children and adults can have fun finding.
The leaflet and activity sheet can be download below or they are also available at the nature centre shop.
