Your Council Tax bill is based on two adults (aged 18 or over) living in a property as their sole or main residence.

A 25 per cent discount applies when only one adult lives in the property as their main home.

If you are now the only adult living at the address, please email taxation@crawley.gov.uk to tell us.

To help us process your request without delay, please include:

• your full name and address
• the full name of the person who has moved out
• the date they vacated the property
• their new address (if you don't know their new address, tell us what you do know. For example, town or country)
• whether the move is permanent (if not, explain the situation and whether they intend to return)
• whether they were an owner or tenant (if they were named on the tenancy or ownership, confirm what steps are being taken to remove them (for example, tenancy updated or legal transfer in progress)

Requests may be delayed if this information is not provided.

If you are receiving a single person discount, you must tell us within 21 days if another adult moves into your property. You may be fined up to £70 if you do not inform us.
