About Council Tax

Council Tax charges

The amount you pay depends on which property band your property falls into and also the number of adults living in the property.

Discounts and reductions are available for people living on their own, people with disabilities, students and others.

We collect Council Tax on behalf of all three organisations. We keep just under 11.5% to spend on our services. Sussex Police spend just over 10.5% and West Sussex County Council takes nearly 78%.
