Notice of Making - off street parking places 2022

Notice is hereby given that Crawley Borough Council (“the council”) has made the above Order under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to amend the Crawley Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement and Consolidation) Order 2022. The Order was made on 31 August 2022 and will come into effect on 14 September 2022.

Following the council’s deferral of the decision to amend the Crawley Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement and Consolidation) Order 2009 insofar as it related to the proposal to vary the charging hours at Tilgate Park Carpark from: All days 1 April - 31 October 9am – 6pm 1 November – 31 March 9am – 4pm, to: All days 9am – 6pm, the council has decided not to vary these charging hours and for these to remain as previously provided.

This Order gives effect to this decision and corrects the charging hours relating to Tilgate Park Carpark so that they shall remain as follows.

Tilgate Park car park all days:

1 April to 31 October: 9am to 6pm
1 November to 31 March: 9am to 4pm

The Crawley Borough Council (Off- Street Parking Places) (Amendment No. 1) Order 2022, made on 24 March 2022 (now revoked by Crawley Borough Council) (Off-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement and Consolidation) Order 2022 made on 17 May 2022.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
