The transformation of the former Town Hall site has taken a major step forward this week as phase two of the decorative hoardings has been installed around the demolition area.
The new panels celebrate the town’s past, present and future showcasing a striking mix of historic buildings, green spaces and Manor Royal Business District. The hoardings have been designed to both brighten the area and give residents a glimpse of the town’s rich history.
The installation follows positive feedback from the community on the first phase of hoardings, which focused on Crawley Borough Council’s priorities.
Regenerating our town centre is about honouring where we’ve come from while building confidently for the future. These new hoardings bring that story to life by celebrating our heritage, showcasing the landmarks and giving residents a clear sense of the progress being made. They help everyone visualise the improvements ahead as we continue creating a modern space at the heart of our town.

Demolition works are almost complete and have been funded by HM Government through the the Brownfield Land Release Fund (BLRF2).
The site will make way, it is currently intended, for new residential and commercial spaces. This project is a key part of the council’s vision to drive economic growth and rejuvenate the area.
