Crawley is set to benefit from a renewed Growth Deal that will unlock investment, deliver new homes and infrastructure, and support long-term economic growth.
The Crawley Growth Deal 2025 to 2030, a partnership between Crawley Borough Council and West Sussex County Council, builds on a programme that has already secured over £50 million and delivered major regeneration projects across the town centre and Manor Royal.
Crawley is a key economic hub in the county, contributing £6 billion to the economy and supporting around 97,000 jobs. The new deal will build on these strengths by boosting investment, supporting skills, delivering new development and infrastructure and creating vibrant places for residents and businesses.
Key projects include improvements to Station Gateway and Three Bridges station, town centre east regeneration, new workspace for small businesses, sustainable transport upgrades and unlocking new commercial space at Gatwick Green.
The Growth Deal also places strong emphasis on sustainability and housing, supporting low-carbon initiatives and helping to tackle the borough’s housing emergency by unlocking new homes in the town centre.
Looking ahead, the programme will help maximise opportunities linked to London Gatwick’s expansion, which could bring up to £1 billion annually to the regional economy and create thousands of jobs.
This renewed Growth Deal is a major step forward in supporting Crawley’s future. By working in partnership with West Sussex County Council and other public sector partners, we can unlock investment, deliver new homes and infrastructure, and create the conditions for businesses to grow and succeed.
It will help ensure Crawley continues to thrive as a key economic centre, while also supporting a greener, more sustainable future and improving opportunities for local residents and businesses.
