Crawley Community Youth Service has been awarded a £19,000 grant from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund by Crawley Borough Council to support the opening of a new senior youth club and the continuation of its after-school club at Broadfield Community Centre.
The funding is helping to provide a safe, welcoming space for young people where they can take part in a range of activities and build confidence. The new senior youth club runs on Friday evenings from 7pm to 8.30pm.
Councillor Michael Jones, Leader of Crawley Borough Council, Councillor Sue Mullins, Cabinet member for Community Engagement and Culture, Councillor Marie Mariette, Councillor Esther Barrott, Councillor Ian Butler and Councillor Kiran Khan visited the session to see first-hand the opportunities being provided for local young people.
This funding is helping to provide a safe and supportive environment where young people in Broadfield can spend time, build confidence and develop new skills. It is important that we continue to invest in services like this that give young people positive opportunities and help them to thrive.
