Crawley Borough Council will mark the National Day of Reflection for the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing residents, community groups and faith leaders together to honour all those who lost their lives during the pandemic.
The event will take place on Sunday 8 March at 11am in Memorial Gardens and will include reflections, performances, readings and prayers from local artists, writers and community representatives.
This day gives us a moment to pause, reflect and remember every life touched by loss. Our community showed extraordinary compassion during COVID 19, supporting neighbours, volunteering, and caring for one another in the most difficult circumstances. This service is about honouring those we lost and recognising the enduring strength of the people of Crawley.
Councillor Sue Mullins
Cabinet member for Community Engagement and Culture
Crawley Borough Council
Residents are welcome to attend the event as the town joins communities nationwide in remembrance.
