Crawley Borough Council has completed its upgrade to pathways in Goffs Park, enhancing accessibility, safety and connectivity throughout one of the town’s most popular open spaces.

The upgrades, which reflect the council’s ongoing commitment to delivering high quality parks for residents and visitors, were recently celebrated during a visit by the Mayor of Crawley, Councillor Sharmila Sivarajah, who was joined by Councillor Michael Jones, Leader of the Council, Councillor Chris Mullins, Cabinet member for Leisure and Wellbeing, and local ward councillors Yasmin Khan and Bob Noyce.

Feedback from park users highlighted the need for better quality paths and improved links between key facilities within the park. These completed works have directly addressed those concerns, providing smoother, safer surfaces and clearer, more connected routes for everyone using the park.

The completed improvements include a new tarmac path running from Goffs Park House and the toilets along the blossom trail to the lower car park entrance. Additional new tarmac paths now link the steps at Goffs Park House to the play area and surrounding routes. The project also included enhancements to the existing pathway through the wooded area leading to the kiosk.

Goffs Park has always been a special place for our community, and these completed improvements have made it even more accessible and enjoyable. The upgraded pathways which strengthen the connections between key areas of the park have created safer, smoother routes for everyone to use. This investment is an excellent demonstration of our commitment to supporting residents’ wellbeing and enhancing the green spaces that bring people together.
