Crawley Borough Council has approved the award of a specialist contractor to carry out façade works to the Town Hall multi-storey car park, marking an important next step in the transformation of the wider site.
The works form part of the ongoing demolition of the old Town Hall, funded through the Brownfield Land Release Fund (BLRF). The council successfully secured £2.38 million from the fund in September 2024 to support the safe clearance and preparation of the brownfield site for future development.
The works will begin shortly after demolition of the old Town Hall is completed.
These works are an important step in completing the long-planned transformation of the former Town Hall site. Securing specialist contractors ensures the car park façade will be finished to a high standard, improving the look of this key town centre location and preparing the area for future development. It's another good news story for Crawley.
