Thanks to a £5,440 grant from Crawley Borough Council, FreeShop Bewbush will be able to give around 250 children additional Christmas presents this year, helping local families have extra festive support during a challenging winter.

The funding will be used to purchase and distribute presents to children in the Bewbush community, ensuring families facing financial pressures can still enjoy a special Christmas.

FreeShop Bewbush, based at the Bewbush Centre, plays a vital role in supporting local residents with food, wellbeing activities and community services throughout the year.

We’re delighted to support FreeShop Bewbush in spreading some extra Christmas cheer this year. This funding will mean that children who might otherwise go without will receive a present, and it highlights the essential work FreeShop does supporting families at the heart of our community.

Councillor Michael Jones

Leader of Crawley Borough Council

Freeshop Bewbush will work with volunteers and local partners to distribute the presents in the days leading up to Christmas. Residents wishing to support their wider work can look out for updates on volunteering and donations.
