The team at K2 Crawley has reason to celebrate as they reach the end of a successful first year of management.

Everyone Active has been managing the centre in partnership with Crawley Borough Council since 14 November 2018. Since then, they have invested £500,000 into the facilities, seen an impressive 1.4 million visits to the centre and held 114 events.

The improved facilities included a refurbishment to the café and bar area, new virtual group exercise classes and a new pool obstacle course. The leisure provider is also looking to invest another £50,000 in the gym facility before Christmas.

The new management has already seen membership figures grow by over 20%, with 474,500 fitness visits in the first year. Swimming is on the up too, as the centre currently attracts 1,635 swimmers per week. The 50m Olympic-sized pool is also home to Everyone Active’s award-winning swim scheme, which sees 36,000 school swimmers per year.

Last November, K2 Crawley was joined by pop star, Fleur East, and European Diving Champion, Eden Chung, to officially open the centre. The grand open day saw over 7,000 people through the doors who were able to experience the fantastic facilities on offer, including swimming and diving lessons, soft play, badminton and fencing.

We’re incredibly proud of our team here at K2 Crawley, who have made every effort to make the centre a hub of the community. Our investment has improved our facilities, widened our activities offering and attracted even more local people to the centre. We’d like to invite anyone who hasn’t yet visited, to come and try our facilities and see the improvements first-hand. We hope that our second year is even more successful than the first!
