Wellbeing Project Co-ordinator (Weight Management Lead) - register your interest

The Wellbeing service is part of a county-wide programme in West Sussex to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent ill-health in our local communities. The service provides information, advice and signposts local people to services for help and support.

Do you have:

  • A passion and enthusiasm for supporting individuals to achieve weight loss and a healthier lifestyle? 
  • Knowledge of issues related to weight management and healthy lifestyles, including nutritional and physical activity guidelines?
  • Experience of coordinating community courses (e.g. securing venues, managing client lists / cohort details, ensuring the availability of appropriate resources)?
  • Knowledge of generating referrals and engaging with external stakeholders?
  • The ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including being able to support courses that run in the evening and on weekends?

This role will be responsible for coordinating the WOW (Weight Off Workshop) programme delivered at a variety of community venues across Crawley as well as providing a virtual offer to help reduce the numbers of people who are overweight and obese.

WOW offers both referred and self-referred participants a free 12 week weight management course and the coordinator will be responsible for managing all future courses, as well as overseeing a small delivery team of casual Weight Management Advisors and Instructors. You will also be responsible for reporting on the key quarterly performance indicators for the service.

If you have experience within the health and wellbeing sector, have a background in project delivery, excellent presentation and partnership working skills and would like to be part of a hardworking, friendly team then we would like to hear from you.
