About the role
This role will be responsible for coordinating the WOW (Weight Off Workshop) programme delivered at a variety of community venues across Crawley as well as providing a virtual offer to help reduce the numbers of people who are overweight and obese. WOW offers both referred and self-referred participants a free 12 week weight management course and the coordinator will be responsible for managing all future courses as well as overseeing a small delivery team of casual Weight Management Advisors and Instructors. You will also be responsible for reporting on the service key quarterly performance indicators.
The ideal person for this role will have excellent communication and organisational skills and have an understanding of the issues surrounding weight loss. Is positive and self-motivated and has a flexible attitude. A background and experience in dietetics, nutrition and healthcare is essential with a Level 3 qualification in nutrition. You will have knowledge of behaviour change principles. As part of the Crawley Wellbeing team you will also be expected to embark on additional training that will ensure that you understand the relationship between weight management and physical activity.
Successful shortlisting for interview will include meeting the essential criteria set out in the job description and person specification however training will be provided to the right candidate where they are able to demonstrate the qualities and skills required for this role

Working hours: 25 hours over 4 to 5 days (Some evening and weekend work may be required)
The post is for a fixed term contract initially up to 31 March 2022 with potential to extend, subject to external funding.
Work location may vary due to the requirements of the role.
A full current UK driving licence will be a requirement of the role.
Appropriate training will be given.
Uniform to be worn for specific events.
Satisfactory clearance of an Standard Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check will be a condition of employment.
