About the role

The Neighbourhood Services Team are responsible for keeping Crawley’s residential and commercial areas, recreational open spaces and parks clean and well maintained. The main parts of this role are dog bin emptying, removing fly tipping, graffiti and fly posting. 

This role may also involve weeding and pruning shrub beds, hedge cutting, litter picking. To provide a safe, clean and well-maintained town.

Our skill requirements:

  • An ability to prioritise the workload and be self-motivated
  • Experience of dealing with customers and communicating confidently
  • Be able to report any issues, you can’t deal with yourself
  • Previous experience of street cleansing, graffiti clearance (though training will be provided) and the use of power washing equipment is essential
  • You need to have a UK driving licence which allows you to drive transit sized vehicles and you will have the physical capability to undertake the work

Fixed term contract until 31 March 2023.

A full current UK driving licence will be a requirement of the role and to wear a uniform.

You are employed to work full-time, 37 hours per week from Wednesday to Sunday.
