About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrative assistant to join our busy and vibrant Anti-Social Behaviour Team. You will be providing administrative support to the team as well as front of service response to customers. 

You would be joining a team who provide support to residents who are experiencing anti-social behaviour, mediating between parties and taking enforcement action where necessary. The team work closely with other departments across the council as well as key partners such as the police, social services and mental health services. 

As the team’s administrative assistant you will provide support by:

  • Responding to customers incoming queries to the service
  • Fielding demands to the relevant caseworker 
  • Providing general administrative support to the team

What you’ll need:

  • Positive and motivated approach and commitment to providing excellent services to customers
  • Experience of working in a busy customer service environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence to work on your own initiative
  • Ability to prioritise your workload and manage deadlines

This would be an excellent opportunity for a confident administrative assistant to gain experience of working within housing and anti-social behaviour in a local authority setting.

Additional information

12 month fixed term contract.  

Based at the Town Hall but with the possibility of flexibility to work from home part of the week once fully trained.
