About the role

An opportunity has arisen for two Housing Officers to join our busy and friendly Tenancy Services Team.

These roles will cover all the key areas of housing management and rental income collection including the letting of properties and all aspects of estate and tenancy management.

You will be a proactive and self-motivated person with excellent communication and customer service skills. You will have experience of working in a demanding role with customers who are experiencing challenging circumstances. Good numeracy skills and welfare benefits knowledge are required as you will be managing rent accounts and making payment agreements. The ability to work independently, organise and prioritise your workload is essential.

Ideally you will have a background in social housing or a similar. We will also welcome applicants who have experience of working directly with the public in customer facing support roles, homelessness or benefits advisory, as full training will be provided.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is an essential requirement for the role.

A satisfactory completion of a basic DBS check will be a condition of employment.

We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible, as we may close this advert before the stated closing date if enough applications are received.
