About the role
These are exciting times for Crawley Borough Council as we continue our transformation programme with digital at the heart of it. We are committed to growing and improving our online services; building on our successful customer and staff portals with plans to move more services online. We need a capable and enthusiastic person to help us deliver this ambitious programme of work.
Working with the low-code Granicus GovService platform, your responsibilities will include developing new online forms and workflow, improving our existing library of over 200 forms and dealing with 2nd line support for our users. You will be part of a small specialist team working to design and deliver digital services that meet our customer needs and those of the transformation agenda.
You will be extremely well organised, analytical, confident with technology and quick to learn new IT systems. The ability to understand and translate complex business processes into user-friendly online forms will be critical to succeed in this role.
Working knowledge of local government and previous experience with the GovService (previously Firmstep) platform or a similar forms and workflow development application would be a distinct advantage.
We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible, as we may close this advert before the stated closing date if enough applications are received.
For special conditions please see job description.
We offer a generous employee benefits package, with a range of discounts, benefits and wellbeing incentives to suit everyone.
Our way of working
Our shared values and behaviours reflect the special nature of our council. We encourage all colleagues to put them into practice, whatever job they do. Take a look to see if we are the perfect match.
Crawley Borough Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We want to be an inclusive and diverse employer of first choice reflecting the community we serve and particularly welcome applications from all under represented groups.
