About the role

These are exciting times for Crawley Borough Council as we continue our ambitious transformation programme with digital at the heart of it. We are committed to developing and improving our online services, building on our recent new website and intranet, with plans for more websites and services for our self-service portal.  Our friendly and motivated team is working to improve digital service delivery and we are looking for a capable and enthusiastic individual  to help us deliver our ambitious programme of work.

Being well-versed in the use of content management systems you will use your background in writing content for the web, using best practices and standards to help maintain and update our public websites and staff intranet. Naturally, you will have excellent writing, editing, fact-checking and proofreading skills and will be able to use them alongside analytics to identify, propose and lead content improvement projects.

You will provide support and training to content and social media channel owners and help to run projects. Your excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills will help you deal with stakeholders across multiple service areas.

A good understanding of information architecture and experience with user journeys, personas and research techniques would be a distinct advantage.

We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible, as we may close this advert before the stated closing date if enough applications are received.
