We are inviting residents, businesses and partners to help shape a new Crawley 2040 Vision and Growth Plan - setting out how we build on the town’s strong economic success while ensuring more local people benefit from it in their everyday lives.
You can read the draft plan below:
Crawley is already one of the South East’s most important economic hubs, home to London Gatwick, the Manor Royal Business District and a diverse business base that supports a nearly £6 billion economy. This plan looks ahead to the next phase of growth: strengthening our economy, supporting local jobs and skills, improving connectivity, and creating a more sustainable and vibrant place to live and work.
The draft vision is centred around five key priorities:
- more and better jobs, supporting existing strengths while growing new sectors such as clean energy and green technologies
- cleaner, sustainable growth, reducing emissions and improving environmental quality
- a stronger town centre, with new homes, cultural opportunities and a thriving commercial core
- skills and opportunity, building on investments such as the new Sussex & Surrey Institute of Technology
- better connectivity, including improved transport links, active travel and digital infrastructure
We want to hear your views on these proposals and what matters most for Crawley’s future. Your feedback will help shape the final plan before it is adopted.
