Tilgate Park dog control Public Spaces Protection Order consultation

We want to hear your views on introducing a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO), which would allow us to establish measures to address issues surrounding dog-related anti-social behaviour in Tilgate Park.

The proposed PSPO will require all dogs to be on a lead at all times in the park and no dogs will be allowed in the children’s playground, Walled Garden or Tilgate Nature Centre. Please note that assistance dogs will be exempt from the PSPO.

The findings from the consultation will be taken through the council’s committee process for a decision. A report will then be taken to the Overview and Scrutiny Commission on 4 July and Cabinet on 6th July. A decision will then be made at Full Council on 20 July.
