Provided by Arun & Chichester Citizens Advice Service. There are limited energy grants that can assist with the costs of heating your home. Contact your Housing Officer for Crawley Homes' tenants or Access Crawley on 01293 438101 or email access.crawley@crawley.gov.uk who can make a referral for you.
You will need to:
- provide proof of living in West Sussex
- proof of income and details of your energy account
You could get £140 off your electricity bill under the Warm Home Discount Scheme.
Visit the Better Housing Better Health website to get help with lowering your energy bills. You can also call then on 0800 107 0044 on weekdays between 9am and 5pm to talk to them.
If you were born on or before 22 September 1959, you may be eligible for a Winter Fuel Payment of £100 to £300 to help with heating costs. The qualifying week is 15 to 21 September 2025, and the deadline to apply is 31 March 2026. Payments are automatic for most, but those with taxable income over £35,000 must either opt out by 15 September 2025 or have the payment recovered through the tax system.
