We have a duty to ensure that:

• we collect income and recover debt efficiently and effectively
• we ensure we fulfill our financial responsibilities to our citizens
• we maximise our capacity to provide local services

We must also meet legislative requirements in respect of income collection and have an obligation to collect on behalf of other organisations. This includes:

• West Sussex County Council (WSCC)
• The Police and Crime Commissioner
• Central Government
