Washable nappies are much cheaper than disposables, kinder to your baby and friendlier to the environment. They are also very convenient and attractive, in lovely fabrics, mostly with velcro or poppers, and are easy to wash at home.
Modern washing machines mean that washable nappies don't need to be soaked and wet nappies can just be thrown in with other baby clothes. Nowadays, soiling is separated with a flushable or washable liner.
Advantages of real nappies
Some protection for tumbling tot’s lower spine
Beautiful designs and fabrics
Good for the environment
Likelihood for earlier potty training
Can be used in conjunction with disposables
Can be used on a second child
