A major milestone in the creation of the new Crawley Museum has been reached.
The Tree, parts of which date back to 1328, has been joined to 1980s building The Tree Annexe with a stunning glass link which will provide an impressive entrance to the new museum when it opens early in 2017.
Crawley has a rich and interesting history that started before the war and continues up to the modern day. These pages will tell you about early settlers and how Crawley came to be known as a New Town in the 1960’s.
Crawley Museum is currently based in Goffs Park House in partnership with Crawley Museum Society .
In 2013 the council put together a Heritage Lottery Fund application and were subsequently awarded £1.15m to provide a new museum for Crawley .
