Hostels Officer

Salary: £24,295 – £29,705 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, 37 hours per week

A vacancy has recently arisen in our Crawley Homes division for a Hostels Officer.

This role will cover all the key areas of arrears management dealing with all aspects of the day to day management of the hostels

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing a point of contact for all those residing in the Hostels;
• Identify and implement support needs to assist tenants in sustaining their Licence agreement, and in preparation for moving to settled accommodation;
• Ensure compliance of the Licence Agreement, take action when necessary, and engage with other agencies.

You need to demonstrate an ability to cope with difficult, challenging and sensitive situations.

With excellent communication and customer service skills, the ideal candidate will have an understanding of the needs of residents in temporary accommodation, and a practical knowledge of maintenance issues will be required to identify defects and initiate repairs. You will also need experience of working in a demanding and challenging role. Along with experience of team work, the ability to organise and prioritise your own work load.

A full and clean UK driving licence is an essential requirement for the role.
