Are you interested in the media, both digital and traditional? Do you enjoy photography and filming? Are you creative, flexible, excited by news stories and current affairs, passionate about learning and enjoy being part of a team? If so, here is an exciting opportunity to take your first steps in the world of communications and PR.

As our Communications Apprentice you’ll be a member of the team that helps to tell the council's story in a clear, effective and attention-grabbing way.

During this 18 month programme, you will gain valuable experience in:

You will also undertake a training programme, in partnership with your learning provider, which will lead to an industry-standard apprenticeship in Business Administration.

To make the most of this opportunity, you will already be confident in creating quality written work that is free from spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors. We will help you build on these skills to kick start your career in communications and PR.

The small print:

This opportunity is open to anyone who has the right to live and work in England, is not currently enrolled on another apprenticeship or further / higher education programme and does not already hold a qualification at level 2 or above in Business Administration or a closely related subject.

We are recruiting now for a late August / early September start. We plan to accept applications up to 21 July 2019, but may close the opportunity early if we find a suitable candidate sooner. We strongly recommend you apply as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.
