This is an exciting role within our Housing Management Team. We provide a home to over 19,000 people in Crawley in one of our 7,900 properties. We help people to find and settle into a property suitable for their needs, give advice and guidance so where their home remains affordable and support them to be a good neighbour. Our aim is to provide homes that the people of Crawley are proud to live in.
You will develop valuable skills such as customer service, meeting the needs of vulnerable individuals, team working, time management, decision making, working with information and administration. You will also gain Certificate in Housing Practice, a great starting point for a career in Housing Management.
With support from experienced colleagues, you will spend your day helping to respond to queries, completing the actions needed when people move into their new home, providing advice on rent and to those struggling to pay, scheduling diaries and collecting, recording and reporting information.
To be successful, you will need a natural talent for working well with other people and getting things done on time, in the way they need to be done and to a high standard. It’s a busy team, so you’ll enjoy variety and be comfortable reprioritising your to do list to meet needs as they arise. Gaining your housing qualification will involve a mix of individual coaching and self-study using online resources. It is essential, therefore, that you have a real passion for studying and are ready to take responsibility for yourself and your learning.
This opportunity is open to anyone who has the right to live and work in England, is not currently enrolled on another apprenticeship or further / higher education programme and does not already hold a qualification at level 2 or above in housing or a closely related subject.
