Crawley Borough Council is committed to safeguarding and protecting children, young people and adults at risk in all of our services.
Safeguarding is protecting children and adults at risk from abuse and neglect. Everyone has a role in keeping children, young people and vulnerable adults safe and free from harm.
We aim to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children, young people and adults at risk irrespective of their age, culture, disability, gender, language, racial origin, socio-economic status, religious belief and sexual orientation. They all have the right to protection from abuse.
Our safeguarding policy is in-line with legislation, statutory guidance and the Pan Sussex safeguarding procedures. It details our responsibilities and applies to all staff (casual, temporary and permanent), volunteers and elected members.
