Location

Crawley Museum is located in The Tree, one of the town’s oldest buildings, on the corner of the Historic High Street and The Boulevard.

The Tree has been sensitively restored with the annexe fitted out to house galleries and the education room. It also has a temporary exhibition space to showcase the talent and diversity of Crawley.

Crawley Museum Society operates the service with financial support from the council.

Further information

In 2013 the council was awarded £1.15m from the Heritage Lottery Fund to provide a new museum for Crawley. Using The Tree and The Tree Annexe was seen as a great opportunity to improve heritage in Crawley with its central location, architectural quality and preserve a Grade II listed building.

It opened in July 2018.
