Making a Freedom of Information request

If you can't find the information you’re looking for in our related pages, you can submit an online Freedom of Information (FOI) or Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) request.

Before submitting an FOI or EIR request, check our Publication Scheme and Open Data library, as they may already contain the information you’re looking for.

Make an online FOI or EIR request

Alternatively, you can write to us at:

Freedom of Information Team
Crawley Borough Council
Town Hall
The Boulevard
West Sussex
RH10 1UZ

Your request should:

  • Be made in writing
  • Provide your real name
  • Provide an email or postal address for correspondence to be sent to

Remember to clearly describe the information you require. A request for additional details may slow down the progress of your enquiry.

A fee may be charged in some cases.

Response timeframe

You will receive the requested information as soon as it is available. This will be within 20 working days, or in some cases, 40 working days where the information is relating to environmental issues and is particularly complex or voluminous.

If we do not hold the information or if there is a reason for it to be withheld under a legal exemption, you will be informed of this.

Where a request is refused (in full, or in part) under an exemption, advice and assistance will be provided within our response.
